Christmas 2008

Here are some pictures from Christmas morning. Tristen got everything he asked Santa for and more. Landon and Kinsley did as well. We are now working on Tristen actually sleeping in the bunk bed. He has for the past 2 nights, so maybe we are on our way to success.

Landon, Kinsley and Cole's First Birthday Party

Hey everyone. Yesterday we had Landon, Kinsley, and Cole's First Birthday party. Tonya and I decided that since everyone is so busy and it is so close to Christmas that we could have one big party for all three of them, for those of you who don't know Cole is my cousin that was born 5 days before the twins. The party was so much fun. We opened presents first, and then the babies each got their own cakes to dig into. Kinsley dove face first into her cake like it was a pie eating contest, Landon wasn't sure what to do but eventually ate some of it, and Cole demolished his and then started throwing it. It was so hilarious. Here are some pictures from the day. I am going to try and put the video of the cake eating on later, I think blogger is not working right because I tried to upload it first. Anyways, enjoy!

Alabama/Auburn Party

We went to an Alabama/Auburn Party at Shannon and Lindsay's house. It was so much fun. There was so much yummy food and it was so good to have the family together. We missed those who couldn't be there because of sickness. We hope you all get to feeling better soon. Here are a few pictures from the party.

Thanksgiving

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving day. We went to Chris' great-uncle's for lunch. It was so yummy! The babies ate anything and everything I gave them and Tristen ate absolutely nothing...what a shocker huh? I sure did miss being with my family and Chris' mom and her family. Then we went to my moms and had ham sandwiches yummy! It so hard to believe that this time last year I was miserably pregnant with the twins and couldn't enjoy my Thanksgiving dinner. I am so thankful for my beautiful children, husband, and the rest of my lovely family. Tomorrow we are all going to Shannon and Lindsay's house for the annual AL/AU party; I can't wait. We will all have on our Auburn attire to support our team. War Eagle!!!!

Update on kids!

Hi everyone. I had to take Landon to the doctor tuesday because he was vomiting and could not keep anything down. Of course I was not shocked when the Dr. said that he was dehydrated and needed to be put in the hospital for IV fluids and blood work. He was in the hospital Tuesday night and all day Wednesday. We got home about 6pm Wednesday. He is all better now and is back to his lovable self. On to better news, he is now walking all the time, he just can't get into the standing position without pulling up on something. He is also shaking his head yes, even though I don't think he knows what it means. Kinsley is taking a few steps and she loves to copy you whether it be coughing or laughing, it is so sweet. Tristen is as wild as ever and is excited about Santa. He is driving us crazy about wanting bunk beds. I do not have any pictures to put on here but I will get some soon. I am so busy right now trying to finish up this school semester. Anyways, I hope everyone has a good day!

Halloween

We didn't take the kids trick-or-treating; it was too cold for the twins especially and Chris' aunt was visiting for one night only. We went to the fall festival at church and Tristen got plenty of candy then. Here are some pictures from the fall festival.

Getting ready for halloween!

Landon and Kinsley are going to be Thing 1 and Thing 2 for halloween. I (with the help of my friend Megan) decided to make their costumes because they were so expensive. I am finished with the outfit part and I have one wig made. However, I didn't realize that they would know how to take the wig off, so I don't think they will wear it long. I tried it on them and they immediately tried to take it off. Maybe I will be able to get one good picture of them dressed all the way. Anyways, here is a picture of them in the wig. It is precious.

Tristen's soccer party

Tristen had a end of the season soccer party last night. The party was at CiCi's pizza. The kids were given each given a trophy and soccer cupcakes. I thought it was very sweet that Tristen was still included even though he only got to play one game. Anyways...here are some pictures from last night and his professional soccer picture of him and his team.

Landon playing Peek-A-Boo

Here is a video of Landon playing Peek-A-Boo. Enjoy!

Landon and the bunny

Landon always has to be rocked to sleep. So, I was amazed when I came in the living room and Landon had fallen asleep in the floor sucking on his bunny's ear.It was so cute.

Landon got hungry...

Landon saw that Tristen had a poptart, so I guess he decided that he wanted one too. He went to the cabinet, opened it, pulled out the bread and found the poptarts. There must have been one already opened in there, because the next thing I know he was eating one. Here are some pictures.

Kisses on Command

Kinsley gives kisses to anyone, as long as you say the keyword. The keyword is "Daddy". Here is a video of her giving kisses on command.

Bed Head / 9 month update

When Kinsley woke up from her nap today, she definitly had a case of "bed head" it was so adorable. Also, I forgot to make a post last week with their 9 month check-up update. Landon weighed 18lbs and was 27 inches long. Kinsley was 16lbs, and 26 inches long. They are both still small compared to other babies their ages, but they were preemies so it is ok. They are growing up so fast, they are both crawling anywhere and everywhere, Kinsley has just now started pulling up so we are well on our way to T-R-O-U-B-L-E. I can't imagine how it is going to be when they both start walking, it is pure chaos with them just crawling. Here are some pics of her magnificient hair...enjoy!

The marker strikes again!

Well, the other night after Landon ate the marker, Chris' mom was watching the babies and when we got back Kinsley was eating a marker...so the marker strikes again. It was so funny!

Landon had a fight...

With a marker. The marker won. I was reading Tristen a book and the next thing I know Landon is covered in blue crayola marker. It was all over his face, tongue, hands, and legs. Here are the pics.

Tristen...ouch

Well, Tristen had another soccer game tonight. Except that he didn't get to actually play. The kids were lining up to practice and we were setting our chairs up, the next thing we know Tristen is running toward Chris crying, screaming, and saying "I hurt" right hear (pointing to his shoulder). We have no idea what happened. He says "I fell backwards", and that is all we know. Anyways, he kept crying and crying and didn't stop so I knew something was wrong. A man came over too us and said he knew a little about orthopedics and looked at his shoulder and said that he probably fractured his collar bone and that we needed to take him to the E.R. for x-rays. He cried the entire 3 hours we were there. It turns out he broke his collar bone. What a short soccer season. :( He has to wear a "figure 8" brace and a sling. I have to call in the am for an appointment with an orthopedic doctor, but he is restricted from sports and pretty much any typ of fun stuff....poor kid. He is feeling good now, at least until the pain meds wear off. Hope we have a good night.

Too cute

I thought this picture was too cute to not put on here; I guess Kinsley wanted a bottle too.

Tristens first soccer game!

Tristen had his first soccer game last night and it was so hilarious. He scored one goal; for the other team. We were so proud of him anyway. He was very proud of himself as well. I have attached some pics of him in action for those who won't be able to make it to a game. Enjoy!

Sickly!!!

We are all sick (except for Chris). It all started last week with Kinsley and I took her to the dr and it was an ear infection. I got her all well and yesterday Landon woke up with a fever, so I took him to the dr and it was his throat and a cold. He had to get a shot, which was horrible. We got home from the dr and I started feeling terrible, throat hurting, sneezing, coughing etc. Then I noticed that Tristen also started doing the same. Then last night Kinsley's nose started pouring and she started coughing. Then we had a night from...well you know where. Landon did ok, but Kinsley (the one who sleeps soundly all night) never went to sleep hardly at all. She slept in 30 minutes incriments. Kinsley was bouncing away in her jumperoo at 10:30pm and Landon was sitting in front of her cheering her on. Also, the other night Chris and I walked in to the babies' room to get Landon and he had pulled up in the bed and was staring at us. It was precious and scary at the same time. Anyways...pray that we all feel better soon.

Pulling up

Well, my days are numbered. I suspect Landon will be walking very soon. He is pulling up on everything he can. He will even crawl to me and pull up on my pants or my leg. He is so attached to me!!! Anyways...he had his tongue surgery yesterday and it went well. He was very ill all day yesterday and actually is still quite ill today from the anesthesia. Here are some pictures of him pulling up to play with Kinsley. Kinsley's first tooth is all the way through and she is working on her other one. I can fill the sharpness of it, I am sure it will be through in the next day or so. Tristen had another soccer practice last Thursday and OMG, he is such a boy. A boy that doesn't listen. It is cute though. I will let everyone know when his first game is, in case anyone wants a good laugh.
